Rebecca Simpson was formerly Director for Innovation at the UK RTO Sira. She developed the UK’s national sensing network, led the UK network on imaging technologies, and developed two spin-out companies. Rebecca has expertise in medical technologies and in the security sector.

Udo Weimar leads a research group in gas sensing and microsystems technology. He has a long track record in transferring results to industry which has led to the development of a number of new businesses. His sector specialisms include the built environment, safety, and technological support for quality of life.

Nicolae Barsan leads an active research group in sensor properties. He has been worked in both industry and academia and is a respected technology consultant. He is particularly active in the manufacturing and security sectors.
